Kathie Bennett is founder and president of Magic Time Literary Publicity.

In addition to a thirty-five year career with Delta Air Lines, Kathie has
spearheaded philanthropic efforts throughout the south. A graduate of The University of the South with a BA in English she is passionate in her commitment to family literacy initiatives. She has served on several boards where her gifts for fundraising and event planning have thrived, setting a stage for not-for-profits to flourish. She is co-founder of an innovative Summer Reading Program, which has received national press.

Magic Time was born in response to the need Kathie perceived on the literary landscape for role of author advocate. Determined to find path for emerging writers as well as the forgotten book, Bennett’s mission as book champion was born. Today her agency provides services as publicist for over 40 authors and booking agent for academic, corporate and not-for-profit arenas.

Kathie and her husband, Roy, have lived in Spartanburg, South Carolina since 2000. Roy is a senior corporate banker. Their two daughters, Mary Scott and Kate and wonderful son-in-law Taylor live in Atlanta.
